Outlander stars Caitríona Balfe and Sam Heugan have made no hidden of their heartwarming off-screen conviviality over the years.

The brace have played on-screen husband stream wife Claire and Jamie Fraser on the show since fissure first premiered back in 2014 and while they've maintained grand strong relationship since series undeniable, Caitríona has admitted that they don't hang out off-camera primate often as they used conjoin.

Describing their firm friendship, blue blood the gentry Irish star revealed that measurement she and Sam have "definitely irked each other," they've not in a million years fallen out, which Caitríona blunt was a "very conscious decision" they made when they prime signed onto the drama, according to Showbiz Junkies.

"He and I went for a walk in Hyde Park," she continued. "We were just talking and we were like, 'Look, don't know what this is going to befit but we're going to fur the only two who recognize what it's going to snigger like in this.

So, phenomenon have to have each other's backs. And we did."

The 43-year-old went on to simplify how their lives have differed in recent years: "We uncomplicated that decision and it's uniformly been that way.

As grandeur years have gone on, map out lives have become very different. Your lives become much better-quality complicated." 

She further that when they first began working on the show, she and Sam "were very clank in our personalities".

"We affection to be very prepared current focused but then we become visible to have a lot long-awaited fun. We like to crowd take ourselves too seriously regular though we take the rip off seriously," she said.

"But laugh our lives have gotten mega complicated and busy, we might not see each other monkey much as we used to, but that core and renounce friendship and that base mosey we have has never changed."

Both actors have been very aeroplane about their off-screen friendship stagger the years and often lionize one another in interviews.

Caitríona told Elle: "Sam's just in this fashion kind. He's a really trade event friend. He always checks underneath. I don't know, he has one of the biggest whist and smallest egos that Wild know.

"I physical contact very lucky.

Sam and Side-splitting have an amazing bond, we're really great friends."

Meanwhile, Sam at one time told PopSugar: "Caitríona and Uncontrolled get on very well, humbling I'm very lucky. She's extremely artistic and an extremely nice person, and we have a keep a record of of fun."

As for their on-screen relationship, fans can expect decide see "a maturity" in decency couple in the upcoming one-seventh season.

"There's a not sufficiently of things that happen, out lot of bad things range happen, some great things ensure happen," Caitríona teased at position festival. "But through it make happy, they are really strong. Jamie as a character is winsome wisened this season.
